Meat species identification method has been developed by Arbro to support food labeling legislation. Meat species identification is a common requirement for regulatory enforcement. In the test developed and validated by our laboratory Real Time PCR has been utilised for animal species identification. PCR technique is exceptionally sensitive giving scope for the analysis of samples which, because of their low levels of target DNA, could not be tested using other methods.
